Thanks to a small army of helpers, the school float was completely decorated on the evening before the carnival. Some timely- added waterproof sheeting helped protect much of the children's handiwork as the heavens opened. The journey to Whaley from school on Saturday morning meant lots of branches tried their hardest to dislodge hanging decorations but with a little bit of tweaking here and there the float was soon ready for its collection of mad hatter tea party guests. Just before the float set off for the parade we were thrilled to receive a rosette, a certificate and a cup- all 1st place. Well done to Mrs Pattison, Mrs Longdon and their teams for making it a great day!
