History at Buxworth Primary School

At Buxworth Primary School we want children to reach their full potential in physical, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic, social and spiritual growth. We work hard to ensure that our History offer is engaging, exciting and above all enables all children to learn. We teach History through a topic based approach thus  ensuring  full coverage of the National Curriculum objectives. We want to enable and inspire all learners to develop a deep understanding and love of the subject matter. Teachers bring their lessons to life through class trips, artefacts, visitors to school and other types of “hands on learning.” We believe that studying history in this way will inspire a love of the subject in all our children and encourage in them a greater understanding of the world in which they live.
