We had a super week starting our phonics and maths lessons. In Phonics we made fantastic listening ears to help us to start listening for sounds inside and outside of school. We were great at isolating individual sounds.

In Maths we were counting to 3 and showing our understanding through play and using maths resources. We showed it lots throughout the week. We sang lots of counting songs and especially enjoyed  using coins and currant buns to go to the currant bun shop.

We loved our traditional tale of the week - Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and played it and acted it out lots.

Our topic learning was continuing learning about themselves. Everyone made wonderful, lifesize pictures of themselves, designed them as they wanted and we wrote things that make them happy, things they are good at and things they like to play around them. Please come into the classroom to see them displayed.

The children enjoyed their P.E lesson, playing chase and running in different directions; using the blocks to make their own courses and using the vehicles.

They also loved playing school and teaching each other to count.
