This week the children have been working really hard in their phonics. They have started Phase 2, learning the letters s,a,t and p. They have learnt to say the sound when shown the grapheme, how to write it and how to read it. They have really enjoyed their phonics sessions, starting by waking their big muscles up with a wiggle Whilst You Squiggle dance and then their fine motor muscles with DoughDisco. They have all seemed to love how active and fun their learning is; looking forward to the session each day.
In Maths they have been working on identyfying with group has more, less and the same amount.
They have also enjoyed the role play area which has been a gym. They love all the mark making opportunties the role play gives them and they scribble away every day. we have so much lovely emergent writing stuck all over the walls.
We have also been getting ready for our Talent Show and doing lots of practising.
