This week we focussed on identifying different trees in our Forest School. Children went on a leaf hunt to find as many different leaves as possible. As a class we looked closely at the shape, size and colour of the leaves. We then identified what tree it was from.

The children made rubbings of some leaves and gave them the correct name label.

Some children found a bee, they very carefully made a safe home for it!

We also checked on our allotment. Lots of vegetables are growing. The children spotted pea pods and tomatoes as well as lots of lettuce to pick.

This week the children made 'Gruffalo Crumble' in class, outside in Forest School the children made more exciting recipes with natural resources.

One group even found a 'giants' stick' to stir their mixture up.
