27.3.23

We enjoyed a wonderful trip to The moorland Discovery Centre on Monday 27th March. The children enjoyed a many  different activities. They explored the woodland area looking for natural materials that matched the colour pebble they were given; they found out about different animals who live in the woodland and where they like to live; we built homes for doormice thinking about their need for warmth, shelter and food and then we made trees using all of the natural things we could find. In the afternoon we visited a pond to look closely at some frogspawn, as we had been learning all about frogs and their lifecycle the week before and then we went inside and used clay to model our favourite woodland animal.  Everyone had a wonderful day and had lots of fun.
