This week the children learnt how the Hindu festival of Diwali is celebrated. They learnt by listening, watching videos and enjoying lots of hands on activities such as making salt dough diya lamps, making Diwali cards, creating firework art pieces by rolling ballbearings through paint and working as a team to control the ball; by making Indian foods such as flat bread and by enjoying Diwali based yoga. The children made up their own yoga routines which were great.
