The children have had an amazing week. They have all been so excited and engaged with our Pirate topic and are already learning lots and enjoying it. We have learned about the parts of a pirate ship and what each thing is for. The children wrote brilliant reports on this and showed their amazing writing to the year 6 teacher and class who were all very impressed.
We have looked at different pirates and what they would wear and drawn super pictures of the pirate we would like to be. To go with this we have learned how to talk like a pirate and we are using this whilst playing in pirates in class.
We have made a wonderful, big pirate ship for our role play area and a superb ship with pirates on for our wall display. Please pop in to have a look when you can.
In Maths the children have been learning to add by counting on and in Phonics we have been working on consonant clusters in words.
