1.5.23

The children worked really hard this week and  made some great progress.

In Phonics we learnt 2 new ways to make already known sounds. We learned to make a w with wh and a f with ph. We also enjoyed some specific reading tasks that focused on comprehension.

In Maths we were practising the skill of counting on to work with numbers from 11 - 20. We used lots of 10 frames and counters to show our understanding.

In English we made some  Pirate Grog and  then wrote instructions on how how to make it. They all thought it was yummy. We obviously made the non alcoholic version!

In other stuff we enjoyed learning about maps and made our own treasure maps using our understanding. We also made telescopes and pirate hats too.

We managed all of this in just 3 days as on Friday we enjoyed a morning of Coronation party activities in our house groups.
