This week we have had a super week learning about Autumn and harvest time. We learnt about the changes  we see in the weather, in the trees and plants, with animals and in what we wear. We went on a walk to look for signs of Autumn and found lots using our own checklists. Whilst out, we went to Tesco to look at harvested fruit and vegetables and to buy some delicious apples.  The following day we all helped to peel, cut and stew the apples and to make a crumble to put on top. Our apple crumble smelt and tasted yummy.

In Maths this week we were learning how to form numbers 0-5 using songs and we were gaining a deep understanding of the value of numbers to 5. For those of us who were confident counting to 5 we challenged and ourselves to show 5 in different ways.

In Phonics we continued to do Wiggle Whilst you Sqiggle to help us build our gross motor muscles in preparation to write. we danced to We like to Move It Move it and made lots of straight line patterns.

We prepared for and practised our Harbest Service song of Big Red Combine Harvester and performed it brilliantly in front of lots of grown ups.

All in all, we have had a very busy week doing lots of lovey learning and playing.

Well done Little Conkers.
