Dear Parents,
We hope you all had an enjoyable summer, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to school tomorrow alongside our new families.
Please find attached below the timetable for the school year. This is also available on our website to view.
If you have not had a email from Parent Pay to set up an account for your child(ren) please do let the office know as soon as possible so we can chase this up for you as you will need a Parent Pay account for school dinners and communication.

Please make sure to check ParentPay to book your child's school dinners for the week commencing 10th July.
Parents will not be required to tell us what meal they want, just that they would like a dinner ordered and the children will then pick what they want on the day. Please bare in mind this is a test run fun for what will happen in September, so we can iron out any issues now (hopefully!)
Please note all parents will need to do this including any child(ren) on universal (KS1) or free school dinners.

Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are no doubt aware, we have been advised by the National Educational Union (NEU) that their teacher members intend to take industrial action.
The union is declaring seven days of strike action in February and March, though individual schools will likely only be affected by four of the dates. In our region, the scheduled dates are Wednesday, 1st February 2023, followed by 1st March, 15th March, and 16th March.
I can inform you that some schools within the High Peak area who have members of the NEU union will be partially or completely closed. This will affect certain classes at Buxworth School next Wednesday, 1st February:
The following classes will be closed on Wednesday, 1st February:
Little Conkers (EYFS)
Horse Chestnuts (Year 1/2)
Sycamore (Year 3/4)
Redwood (Year 6)
Classes open on Wednesday, 1st February:
Hawthorn Class (Year 5) will be open. The children in Hawthorn Class will come in and go home at normal school times.
No clubs or swimming will be running on Wednesday, 1st February.
Please note that while there will be no compensatory measures available (such as online classes offered or work sent home for the day), there are a variety of resources available on the school website should you wish to explore them with your child. You can find the link here: https://www.buxworthprimaryschool.org.uk/learning-through-fun-games/
Again, I apologise for any inconvenience caused and I can only reaffirm that this is not a decision that teachers have come to lightly. If you need anymore information on why the teachers are striking there is a link Pay up : Strike action | NEU
