Good Morning Hawthorn Class!
Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. You can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the English and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Please save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
Today we are going to start by recapping subordinate clauses. Click on the powerpoint in the resources section if you need to refresh your memory, or go straight to the activity sheet if you are feeling confident! You will be adding a main clause to each subordinate clause, so whatever you write must be a full sentence and make sense by itself. You only need to complete the first sheet, but if you need some extra challenge, look at sheets 2 or 3 instead.
After your SPaG starter, we are going to carry on with our Man on the Moon Unit. Today your job is to describe 2 different settings and characters. We will start by recapping what we have done so far and then we will think about words that we could use to describe the settings and characters in the clip. Keep these words to use in later lessons!

It’s test day! Mrs Downings will test you on your spellings during the morning Zoom lesson. Listen carefully to the group you are in so you know which words you need to write down. After the lesson, you can ask an adult to mark them and tell us your scores during the afternoon Zoom lesson. Below, you will find the new rule for your new spellings.
Today we have another Music lesson for you! Open the document below and then click on each link to open the videos.
5) PE and Mindfulness
Get out of the house! It might be wet and wild but your body is waterproof! You could do something like play in the garden if you have one, or if you don’t have one, go for a walk. If you can’t get out of the house, then think about doing some stretches, running on the spot, running up and down the stairs, star jumps, press ups, squats – anything that gets your heart rate going.
