Good Morning Hawthorn Class!
Here are today's activities for you to complete...
As always, you can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the Comprehension, Writing and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Let us know if you have any problems with this. Don't forget to save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
Today I'd like you to complete the comprehension all about sharks. There are three levels again, so if the first one seems a little easy, scroll down to the second or third one. The answers are also there for you to check your work once you have finished.
Now that you have written about your new sea creature, I'd like you to come up with some fun facts about them. Here are some examples:
- This sea creature can grow as tall as the highest trees!
- This sea creature is the oldest living thing on earth.
- This sea creature can eat up to 10 times its own body weight in seaweed!
Adding and subtracting a 1 -digit number to or from a 3-digit number. Follow the presentation and try and answer the questions before you see the answers. Then have a go at the worksheet.
It's spelling test day! Spend some time reminding yourself of your spellings and then ask someone at home to test you. Then you can mark your spellings and let us know how you get on! You can find the spelling on our class page as usual or on our Home Learning for Thursday 19th November.
5) Topic - Wellbeing Wednesday
Panuk the Penguin of the People is here to teach you about the importance of community and supporting each other, for good mental health and wellbeing. Follow his story in the PowerPoint and have a go at completing the activity. Why not listen to some mindful music whilst you complete the activity and mindful colouring.
6) PE with Joe!
It's time to get moving! Follow the link and scroll down to choose a session to complete at home.
