Good Morning Hawthorn Class!
Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. You can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the Comprehension, Writing and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Please save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
1) Dolphins comprehension
There are 3 different levels so you can choose which one you want to do. Each one is followed by the answers so you can check your work after you have had a go. Click the link below to see the comprehension.
This term we are writing non-chronological reports all about sea creatures. This week we have designed our own Octoclaws creatures. Today I would like you to write a paragraph all about what an octoclaws looks like. It should be at least 3 sentences long and needs to include some expanded noun phrases. Click on my Octoclaws design below to see some examples of expanded noun phrases.
Today, we are going to be learning to order numbers to 1,000. Follow the PowerPoint and complete the activities as you go. Once you have learnt how to order numbers to 1,000 have a go at the independent activity. There is a choice of 3 levels - start at the two stars, if this is too tricky try the one star or if it's not challenging enough, have a go at the three star activity.
Complete the look, say, cover, write check sheet for your spellings this week. If you can't print the sheet, write them down on a piece of paper and then cover them up to practise writing each one. You can find your spellings on our class page as usual.
5) Wellbeing Wednesday
Meet Wyeth, the work hard woodpecker. He will teach you the importance of hard work and resilience. Follow the PowerPoint of Wyeth's story and complete the activities listed at the end. Once you have completed the activities, enjoy some quite time whilst you colour in the mindfulness picture.
6) PE with Joe!
During Lockdown you may have heard about Joe Wick's daily PE sessions! I enjoyed doing them when I was at home each day to get me moving. Follow the link and scroll down to choose a session to complete at home.
