Good Morning!
Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. You can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the English and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Please save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
1) English
Today I'd like you to start your dinosaur work by reading the Daily News article all about a fossil of the smallest ever dinosaur being found! Read it carefully, thinking about the information. Then tell a grown up what the article was about.
When you have finished, have a go at the questions. The answers are attached for you or a grown up to check your work.
Then have another look at the Jurassic Age picture from yesterday in the resources below. Have a go at the Jurassic Age Sentence Challenge sheet. You can either print it off to fill in or write your answers on a separate sheet. All the instructions are on the sheet itself.
2) Maths
Lesson 2 - L.O: I can partition 3-digit numbers in order to accurately subtract them mentally. https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/subtracting-two-3-digit-numbers-without-regrouping-60r3cc?activity=intro_quiz&step=1
1. Start the lesson with an online quiz to see what you already know.
2. Try to answer the questions by pausing the video but if you would prefer the questions are at the end of the video too.
3. End the lesson by completing the online quiz to see what you have learnt.
You will need to access the online dienes blocks (base 10) to help you in this lesson. https://mathsbot.com/manipulatives/blocks
3) Spelling
Have a go at the spelling activity below to practise your spellings.

Dino day 2 – I’m still excited!
Today, I’d like you to watch the Nat Geo Kids video (link below) about the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. Think about the information the video gives, maybe you could pause it when you hear something interesting and write the fabulous facts down ion a piece of paper.

Feel the benefit of Yoga as we take an adventure through 5 wonderful lands and explore all the different animals and elements of the lands. For the first couple of weeks, we will travel through Shark’s Bay. We will begin with Norris the baby seahorse. Follow the Yoga moves on the video and once you complete the activity, you can tick it off on your map. The link above explains the quest in a bit more detail, whilst the link below sets you off on your first adventure. Don't forget to download the map of Shark's Bay to keep track of your progress.
