Welcome back for another week of Home Learning Hawthorn Class!
We hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready to see all your friends on Zoom today. We are looking forward to seeing you all!
Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. You can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the English and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Please save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
I’d like you to start by re-reading the How to wash your elephant instructions today. Reading an example text lots of times will help you when you come to write your own instructions. Then I would like you to answer the comprehension questions.
Next, we will complete our next lesson on Monster Pizza Instructions. Now that we have thought about the vocabulary you will need for writing your Monster Pizza Instructions, we are going to practise using it in sentences. We will recap the different types of words and then come up with a list of words we could use. We will be practising saying our sentences today, before you write them down tomorrow. Click on the link entitled Monster Pizza Instructions 6 to start your lesson.
L.O: I can add two 3-digit numbers using the column method (lesson 2).
This lesson follows on from the lesson you completed on Friday. The lesson uses the same methods we would use in school so try your best and give it a good go.
You will need to access the online dienes blocks (base 10) to help you in this lesson. https://mathsbot.com/manipulatives/blocks
Learn your spellings whilst practising your handwriting at the same time. Click on the activity below for your group.
This week our topic lessons are all about ROBOTS!
PE with Joe - he is live in the morning but you can google PE with Joe and catch up with any of his workouts. Pick one and get active! Alternatively, you can choose a physical activity of your choice to do at home – dance, gymnastics, bike riding, basketball or roller skating (my favourite!), anything you’d like, get it done! I’d love to see photos of you working out!
