  • Choose 1 literacy, 1 maths and 1 topic lesson for each day. 
  • You should ensure you read every day for at least 15 minutes
  • You should also practice your spellings

SPaG mat - How clued up are you on your spelling, grammar and punctuation? If there is anything you don't know, ask an adult to explain it to you. You could also use a book or the internet. 

 

Reading Comprehension - Choose * = easy, ** - medium or *** hard 

 

Story Writing - The Magic Escalator... where will it take you? 

 

Bug Club

Read pg1-11 of Mary Anning and then answer 'questions 1' 

Read pg 12-21 of Mary Anning and then answer 'question 2' 

Read pg 22-32 of Mary Anning and then answer 'question 3' 

 

 

 

 

Topic 

 

Choose one activity a day 

Still life drawing - Choose some food items such as fruit and vegetables, a some flowers or a plant. ONce you have a collection of items, use a pencil to sketch what you see. Can you add shading so that your items look 3D (we did this last week in art).

 

PE - Get your heart rate up by clicking the link below and choosing an episode.  Alternatively, you could get into the garden and do your favourite sport BBC iPlayer - Otis Boogie Beebies  

 

History - Click the link and explore the videos about the Maya. Choose an activity to complete: 

  • Make an informational leaflet or poster
  • Record yourself giving some fab facts to someone else. 
  • Make a Mayan menu (what would they havve eaten?)

  • Reading for at least 20 minutes (This could be a book, some instructions, a magazine, the paper, a cereal box - anything!)

  • A Maths activity 
  • A Literacy activity 
  • A topic activity 

 

Have fun learning at home - I'd love to see anything that you do, so, if you'd like, ask an adult to take a photo and email it to school.
