Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. You can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the English and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Please save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
In today’s lesson, you are going to start to plan your instructions for monster pizza, by thinking of some words you could used. It would be a really good idea to write these words down and keep them, as they will help you with your writing next week! Click on Monster Pizza Instructions 5 to start the lesson.
When you have finished the lesson, click on the Word Class colouring sheets and choose a sheet to complete. They get harder, so you can choose how much you want to challenge yourself! If you haven’t got a printer, maybe you could create your own.
L.O: I can add two 3-digit numbers using the column method (lesson 1).
1. Start the lesson with an online quiz to see what you already know.
2. Try to answer the questions by pausing the video but if you would prefer the questions are at the end of the video too.
3. End the lesson by completing the online quiz to see what you have learnt.
- You will need to access the online dienes blocks (base 10) to help you in this lesson. https://mathsbot.com/manipulatives/blocks
Have a go at the spelling activity below to practise your spellings.
Today is Dinosaur art day. In the resource section below, there is a link to a ‘Dino Drawing Tutorial’. Watch it through once and then pick up your pencil and paper. You can watch it again, pausing after a step so that you can learn how to draw a T-rex. Once you have tried it out, see if you can create a family of T-rex terrors. I would love to see your creations! Normally on Friday we would have some golden time so I have also put some ‘Dinosaur Colouring’ sheets in the resource section. You don’t have to complete these but if it’s a rainy weekend, you might like them.
This is your last lesson of the week so make sure you work hard! Physical exercise is a great way to keep healthy, particularly during lockdown. Fitness station - In the resource section below, there are ‘Fitness station’ cards. Either print them off, shuffle them, lay them out and follow the instructions; or, look at them on the screen and complete them in order.
