Good Morning! What have you done this week that you are proud of?
Here are the activities we would like you to complete today. You can choose what order you do the activities in, but we suggest trying to do the English and Maths in the morning. You can print the work if you want to or you can read from the screen and answer on paper. Please save anything you do to bring into school once we are back so we can have a look at it. You can also ask your grown-ups to e-mail a copy to us each day.
1) English
Today we will be carrying on with our reading theme. I’d like you to choose a book from home that you have read before, that you really enjoyed. Have a look at the cover, the blurb (on the back of the book) and any pictures to remind yourself what the book was about and why you liked it. If you have chosen a short book you could even re-read the book now. Then I’d like you to write a book review. There is a sheet for you write on, or you can design your own review on a piece of paper. Make sure you include these things:
This is a good starting point for preparing for Book Wars so I’ll be looking out for some good book reviews later on zoom.
2) Maths - Geometry
Lesson 5:
Once you have made the dough, as well as rolling it into balls to make the circular shaped biscuits, can you make some that are triangular, square or rectangular? You might need to cut the shapes out of the dough.
Challenge yourself to measure out the ingredients independently but ask an adult to help you with using the oven.
3) Spellings
Have a go at the spelling activity below to practise your spellings.
4) Topic - Music
Click on the next Music lesson below and watch the clips Rosie has filmed for your music lesson today. Try to join in with all the singing and the actions and have fun with it!
If you would like to, you could also click on ‘Chinese New Year Mindfulness activity' and spend some time relaxing and colouring.
5) PE
We’ve not seen Joe Wicks at all this week so why don’t you open up one of his work outs and join in. Alternatively, you could try Dancing with Oti, today she is looking at sea creatures. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000jsmm/otis-boogie-beebies-series-1-4-sea-creatures
