Welcome back Little Conkers. I hope everyone had a wonderful half term and enjoyed lots of time playing with their family.

This week we jumped straight into our learning with ordering numbers and learning how to count on from starting position. we used track games, including Snakes and Ladders to help us. 

We used our focus text of Room on the Broom in phonics to help us write wonderful sentences describing the witch, the dragon and then to write instructions on how to make our own spell/ potion. 

We enjoyed lots of Expressive Art  and Understanding of the World activities such as going out exploring and collecting local wild flowers and using them to make and mix potions and perfume. We also spent time learning about the illustrator Axel Scheffler and his style of art. We tried to use some of his techniques to create our own bold pictures of flowers.
