The Scareceow's Wedding

Last week we used The Scarecrow’s Wedding story to shape our learning. We talked and described the scarecrows and wrote wonderful sentences about them. We used all of the areas of learning to then plan, prepare and have our own Scarecrow’s Wedding. We started off by learning what happens at real weddings. We wrote lists of things we thought we would need for our wedding. We made the field and scenery for the event, we learnt how to make real scarecrows, we made decorations and put them up all around the classroom, we made wrote invitations to invite our friends to the day and we wrote signs to welcome people. Finally we made a beautiful wedding cake and some delicious sandwiches to enjoy at the party.
